I have been taking Pilates classes with Monta for four years. As a result I am stronger and more flexible. I pay far more attention to balance and range of motion. Monta is excellent at guiding me through the exercises and watching my form to ensure I am doing the exercise correctly and getting the most from it. The benefit of Pilates became very clear to me two years ago when I had a freak accident in which I fell down some stairs backwards - the fall resulted in a concussion and brain bleed. However, the injuries could have been much worse. I feel certain my training with Pilates helped both in minimizing the injuries I had and also helped me recover more quickly than expected. I also believe Pilates is good for all ages. I took my daughter to a class several years ago. Now, when my daughter is in town she comes with me to Pilates with Monta.
